Project Overview

The GATO DO MATO FPSO project involves TUFF providing a wide range of services including construction supervision, engineering, project controls, and detailed Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for both topsides and hull utilities. The project aims to establish a robust and efficient FPSO system that meets all safety and operational requirements.

Project Details

TUFF's integrated team works in close collaboration with Saipem and BW Offshore to support the overall design competition for the GATO DO MATO FPSO. The team's efforts are focused on establishing a solid process design basis, assessing topside configurations, and evaluating the conversion versus new build hull options. The project also includes a detailed assessment of H2S removal systems and the evaluation of turbine-driven versus electric drives to optimize operational efficiency.

The scope of the project also extends to the generation of MTO (Material Take-Off) and weight estimation, vendor proposal evaluation, and providing input to the project execution plan and schedule. Through a detailed and thorough approach, TUFF ensures that all systems and equipment undergo rigorous engineering, fabrication, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning processes.
